Reverse Glass Painting...

Reverse Glass Painting is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image.

Material required

• Glass
• Glass paints
• Out liner
• Tracing paper
• Masking Tape

Let’s start 

Step1

Choose a design.

If this is your first attempt at painting on glass, then go for a simple glass painting pattern. Do not choose geometric shapes or designs as they may involve being highly accurate. Moreover, such designs require a stable hand for outlining. So to avoid being smudgy, select a design which requires less accuracy. Avoid straight lines, circles etc.

Step2

Clean your glass with Dry cotton then with Glass cleaner or thinner or with water.

Stick the design with tape on the corners and make the outline of the design. Remember the design should be of mirror image.Now do the outlining .You can use black colour outliner and leave it to dry for 10 to 20 mins.

Step3

Then color it with your favorite colors. If any color comes out then use cotton buds to adjust it .And Use thinner if any color comes out the Design or dropped on any area of the surface.

Step 4

Later colour the background.

Step 5

Let it Dry. Now it's time to Frame it .

Tips:

• Use gold effect for jewellery. But remember that the jewellery would be painted first.
• You can use oil paints also if you want make any painting of Traditional figures or God and goddess.
